The Beggar's Opera dates from 1728, and it portrays a London underworld rich with seedy characters and lovable rogues. You'll chuckle at the web of lies, groan at the gullibility of the innocent heroine, and cheer at the come-uppance of the real villain of the piece. Bring a picnic, and hum the catchy tunes as you head home! Gardens open from 6.30pm. Performance 7pm. £10
